School's In Session
Paul Mitchell the School recently unveiled its new Corporate School, situated in Sherman Oaks, CA, a suburb near Los Angeles. John Paul DeJoria, John Paul Mitchell Systems CEO; Winn Claybaugh, dean of Paul Mitchell the School; and Paul Mantea, co-owner of the Sherman Oaks Paul Mitchell the School, cut the red ribbon at the opening festivities.

In the works for more than a year, the expansive, 15,000-square-foot steel and glass studio space situated in the Sherman Oaks Galleria, has been designed to train as many as 400 students at a time. The Paul Mitchell the School location will work and educate exclusively with Paul Mitchell products and instructors, and students will follow an aggressive ongoing educational and cultural development program to mirror that of Paul Mitchell the School in Costa Mesa, CA.
As Claybaugh noted, "If our industry is going to attract a higher caliber of future salon professionals, then our educational facilities, curriculum and instructors need to reflect that. John Paul [DeJoria] and I are proud to open the newest Paul Mitchell the School location, providing the industry with another amazing facility that fits that bill."
