Matrix Embraces the Future
Matrix kicked off 2007 with a mega-conference in Cancun to unite the company's employees, business partners, top regional sales managers, top store managers and artistic educators. Matrix invited the audience of 1,000 to "embrace the future" and come together to create a successful year. Attendees were also treated to a sneak preview of 2007 launches, culminating in a runway show by Gina Khan for Logics. Her luminous, saturated color creations were complemented by red carpet fashions.

The conference officially inaugurated Matrix Sales University (MSU), a three-year training program for distributor sales consultants and store managers. MSU signifies Matrix's unparalleled investment in its best-in-class business partners. The program aims to elevate the sales force's overall skills base in order to create consultative sales partners that help grow and develop the profitability of salons. The program will be rolled out across the country this spring.

Joico Creates Picture-Perfect Hair
Everyone knows that looking great is just as important as winning at the Golden Globes. At Joico's three-day, Pre-Golden Globe Awards suite, advisors were available to help the stars get ready for the big night. They created a variety of hairstyles for celebrities using Joico's top products, including the K-PAK Hair Reconstructor and products from the Style and Finish collections. With the help of Joico advisors, many celebrities, including Becki Newton and Tony Plana from Ugly Betty, discovered the art of healthy, picture-perfect hair.

Matrix Mania
Matrix Men and Sports Illustrated magazine celebrated their highly successful six-month integrated partnership on Super Bowl Saturday with Miami's hottest party of the weekend. The party was held at The Fifth nightclub in South Beach and was hosted by sisters Serena and Venus Williams. Attendees ranged from pro athletes to celebrities to supermodels. Hundreds of people stopped by for a stylist consultation at the Matrix Men and Vavoom VIP styling lounge.
