Joico Teams Up with Sub-Urban Brands
Joico and Sub-Urban Brands joined together for a star-studded event held at Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles during Fashion Week. Celebrities including Jesse Plemons from Friday Night Lights, Steve Valentine from Crossing Jordan and Lindsay Lohan were among the attendees. Guests viewed three of Sub-Urban's brands: The Apparel Agent, REO Starr Jeans and Whiteboy, while Joico stylists did their hair. All guests left with Joico's new K-PAK Sun Therapy System. The Nourishing Shampoo, Treatment Masque and Protective Sun Milk repair and deliver moisture to sun-damaged strands.

American Crew Honors Fathers
American Crew is honoring fathers and sons this month with complimentary, full-sized bottles of its popular Daily Shampoo with the purchase of a regular-priced haircut as part of its annual Father's Day promotion. Salons and barbershops nationwide are participating in the promotion. "This is a great way for American Crew to further its commitment to salons and help build their men's business while exposing more men to a great shampoo," says Austin Baskett, vice president of marketing for American Crew.

Goldwell's New Education Catalog
Goldwell and KMS California recently released their 2007 Education Catalog (pictured), which features information about seminars and classes available to salon professionals. Classes are held at the Academy@Baltimore, at the Academy@O.C. in Irvine, CA, and at the KMS California Global Academy in Venice Beach, CA. Creative Nail Blooms at Flower Show
In April, Creative Nail Design created nail styles to complement the Flora Exotica theme at the 33rd Annual Macy's Flower Show window installation at Herald Square in Manhattan. The show featured more than 1 million flowers, plants and trees from six continents. Creative Nail developed nails for the mannequins in the windows that represented the floral themes of Spring, Hydrangea, Black & White, African, Asian and Rainforest.
