Situated on Anacapa Street in the seaside enclave, the new state-of-the-art facility is part of the Paul Mitchell The School corporate school program, which supports a group of schools that have joined together to promote learning, networking, collaboration and development. The owners of Paul Mitchell The School Santa Barbara have prepared and trained for the alliance for more than a year. They will work and educate exclusively with John Paul Mitchell Systems products, and instructors and students will follow an aggressive ongoing educational and cultural development program to mirror that of Paul Mitchell The School in Costa Mesa, CA, among others.
Commenting on the latest addition, Claybaugh said, "Santa Barbara is such a beautiful place. The strength of the hairdressing community there is so strong that we always knew we would one day open one of our schools there. A night of pouring rain could not put a damper on our beautiful grand opening. The packed house that night, filled with salons, the mayor and the business community, all added up to the perfect launch for a Paul Mitchell School that I know will make a huge difference." —KELLEY DONAHUE
