Inside Scoop

Tracey Cunningham, Redken's creative consultant for color, has the 411 when it comes to this season's must-have haircolor trends straight from the runway, and from her A-list clientele. "We're making a transition from highlights and focusing on more rich, classic haircolor," Cunningham says. "Clients such as Renée Zellweger, Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Peet and Cameron Diaz are requesting deep reds, sophisticated browns and authentic warm blond shades for spring." —M.D.

Visit the hip, new site behindthebottle.com for a chance to win the top prize: in-salon education featuring on-trend cut, color and styling techniques. You'll also be entered to win a sample of Super Skinny Relaxing Balm, the latest product debut from Paul Mitchell. —K.D.

STREETS OF PHILADELPHIA

Celebrity stylist Laurentius Purnama just opened an eponymous salon in the historical Italian Market district of Philadelphia. The salon's sleek, minimalist Japanese design was created by Purnama himself, and furnishings include the Fluid Generation line of shampoo bowls and chairs designed by Anton Kobrinetz for Gamma & Bross. On the first floor, three stylists will create works of art under vintage European sputnik lighting. —M.D.
