American Salon is pleased to announce Operating Instructions—Live!, a new business/educational conference scheduled to visit four major U.S. cities this fall.
Taking its cue from American Salon's hugely popular monthly feature "Operating Instructions," which educates salon professionals on the business of running a salon, Operating Instructions—Live! addresses the multitude of business issues faced by salon owners and managers. Its content is based on case studies and practical applications, and is uniquely designed to arm beauty industry pros with the systems, skills and strategies they need to improve and grow their businesses.
Attendees will learn not only what they should do, but also more importantly, how to immediately implement this knowledge back in their salons. Topics will focus on such critical areas as:
- Management and leadership
- Running a profitable business
- Recruiting, hiring and training
- Customer service
- Sales and marketing
- Legal issues
- Growth strategies
- Retailing and merchandising
"It's often difficult to find the time to travel to obtain quality education at an affordable price," says Kerry J. Cannon, Jr., group publisher, American Salon and American Spa. "That's why we're bringing the education to four convenient areas of the country this fall. The same great educational value will be provided, and attendees can select the location that suits them best." The fall schedule includes: Ft. Lauderdale, FL, September 11-12; New York, September 18-19; Houston, October 23-24; and Chicago (Rosemont), October 30-31.
