Redken Rocks Las Vegas
Redken's biennial Symposium, which was held in Las Vegas this January, attracted more than 7,000 salon professionals, who acquired new skills at classes taught by the best talent in the industry, including Chris Baran, Kris Sorbie, Sam Villa, David Stanko, Rodney Cutler, Michael Cole and Peter Millard. The theme of this year's Symposium was The Professional Edge, and attendees were able to sharpen theirs by attending up to 17 classes on topics as diverse as color correction, versatility in design, brand-building and effective salon layouts. During the two-day event, new initiatives like Redken Education On Demand were introduced. Attendees also learned about Redken Chemistry, a professional-use treatment system, and met Redken Business Partners. One of the highlights of the event was a concert featuring pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. The anticipation has already begun for the next Symposium in 2011. —MARIANNE DOUGHERTY
