Bryan Nunes, owner of Blo Salon in Raleigh, NC, says that paying for a professional designer to make his card was the best money he's spent on his business to date. Because the salon's name frequently piques interest, Nunes wanted it to be the focus of the logo, and had it softly embellished with a design inspired by flowing strands of hair. The uniquely small size, clean sans serif type and simplicity emphasize Blo's intimate atmosphere and minimalist design. "We want to give clients a great hair experience in a sleek, comfortable atmosphere," Nunes says. "When you do things right, there is no need for excess." —G.B.
