It's in the Cards
May 1, 2009 By: American Salon Staff American SalonWhen Skin Deep Day Spa owner Susan Barbaglia designed her business cards, she opted for a green background, finding the color to be soothing and trendy, as well as representative of her spa's calming services. The four photos overlying the tranquil base color represent beauty and relaxation. Similarly, the clean, professional logo, with its luxurious curving font, was crafted with the same serene motif in mind. The back of the card also serves as a promotional initiative to increase client referrals. Clients can fill in the back of the card with their names when they refer their friends to receive a discount. "Skin Deep is about keeping up with trends," Barbaglia says. "We place heavy emphasis on quality over quantity." —J.H.
