A new hair removal procedure, previously available only in Europe, is now available in the United States. The Epilar System gets rid of unwanted hair with no side effects and with less pain than traditional hair removal methods, according to the company. Developed by a team of Danish doctors and biochemists, the enzyme-based treatment is performed after a wax by professionals. It consists of two gels massaged into the waxed area, where the enzyme proceeds to destruct the cells located at the bottom of the follicles, eliminating the hair and preventing it from returning. To date, more than 1,000 spas nationwide are offering the service. The company says the product works on all hair types. Clients should expect to undergo up to 12 sessions.
