MIKI WRIGHT, founder of Beauty SuperStars and owner of Fabulous Finishes Salon and Day Spa in Silver Spring, MD, knows how to keep clients in her chairs despite today's economic climate. Her salon invites customers to join a VIP Beauty Savers' Club that offers incentives to visit regularly. Clients are automatically billed a set price each month and are offered services worth more than the paid amount. For example, a customer billed $125 a month is entitled to $150 worth of services. Any unused portion rolls over to the next month. "Our clients like the predictable expense," Wright says, "and that they don't have to delay much-needed services because funds are a little tight this week.
