Nestled in the rolling meadows of Huntingdon Valley, PA, the eclectic BLue, A Hair Studio, is celebrating its 10^th anniversary as a creative hub for innovative hair design and the creative arts. "It's all about inspiring our clients," says owner Will Bostock. "The goal was to give our clients a creative experience that goes beyond hairdessing that is both unique and welcoming." Bostock personally restored and designed the 3,400-square-foot historic Lady Washington House, transforming it into an art deco-inspired salon equipped with modern and functional work spaces with retrofitted architectural details. Valuing creativity and client comfort over maximizing every inch of space for services, Bostock purposefully incorporated roomy lounge areas into the salon. Additionally, the salon has live jazz on weekends, an artists' gallery on the first floor and a clothing boutique upstairs. After 10 years, BLue, A Hair Studio, has come to be known as a wonderfully vibrant crossroads of creative crafts. —R.A.
